🕺😍

I love this song and the Studio 54 vibe. At 52 the girl’s still got it!

reply

She sure has! 😍

reply

Glad to see someone who appreciates “our Kylie”👍

If this album hits number one in the UK as predicted, Kylie will be the first female artist to have number one albums in five consecutive decades 😲 What a remarkable career she’s had.

reply

A shame streaming messed up the singles charts, I'm sure she'd have more number ones! She's got an amazing discography...and nice ass too! 😀

reply

Hope it does so well on this side of the ocean as well.

I can’t see it troubling the top of the US charts, maybe the dance/club albums, but it’s been an odd footnote to her career that she only ever really made an impression on the mainstream US charts at the very beginning with The Loco-motion and then in the early 2000s with the Fever album.

I always thought Americans never really knew what to make of her even though everywhere else in the world she’s a mega star.

Everybody loves Kylie.

reply

As they bloody well should mate!

I actually have all her albums and I took the missus to see her in Cardiff about 10-15 years ago. She did 'Especially For You' for an encore and I sat like a grumpy old man in my chair whilst all the ladies in the house held their lighters aloft and swayed from side to side (the missus still laughs about it, even now and we've been to hundreds of gigs since).

reply

Hahahahaha... brilliant!

All the ladies and a sizeable portion of the well-dressed men, I’d imagine 😉

Personally I’ve only missed a couple of her many, many tours. She’s an infectious live performer and every concert of hers I’ve been to ends with a sea of wide smiles leaving the stadium. She’s just so good at ensuring everyone in the room has a great time, I’d say her ability to spread that sort of joy is her greatest talent. You said it yourself, even the grumpy old men in the audience can’t deny it 😂

reply

Definitely! She has a genuine warmth - in fact, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they didn't like her.

reply

Oh sadly I have. She was mercilessly attacked by certain sections of the Australian press in the beginning and it wasn’t the “cool” thing to admit you liked her until around the early 90s. I knew everyone would come around eventually though, and they did!

reply

I don't think many people thought she would last long after Stock, Aitken and Waterman.

reply

True. She’s built a career on proving people wrong and defying expectations.

reply

The only mild competition she has that week is Little Mix, however, she'll probably only be there for a week because next up on the 13th is AC/DC - Power Up.

reply

Damn the battle of the Aussies! I’ll be buying both albums.

reply

Me too!

reply

I didn't like the beginning of this song, but then there was a nice bit in the middle.

reply

It’s a grower. The more I hear it the more I love it. I do wish she had released the full album version (available on Spotify) because this single edit cuts out two whole verses and kind of dulls the song’s momentum. It’s a strange choice but I suppose people only have a three minute attention span with music these days 🤷‍♂️
