JLM's work in Elementary is worthy of a lot more praise. Why hasn't he been nominated?

I just asked my husband the same thing. It's mind boggling. Even if you're Ronald Howard, Basil Rathbone, or Jeremy Brett (in later years) fans, credit for Johhny Lee Miller's acting as Sherlock should def. be awarded.

Jonny's acting is stellar indeed, but the problem is there are always many contenders in this nomination and the show itself is not Emmy or Globe worthy. No matter how good actor is, procedurals will never be nominated.
