She was pregnant with her first child, and she was absolutely glowing--it was like there was an aura around the two of them. I literally had to stop and just look at her. I didn't know who she was, what she did, or that she was famous (happened to see The Truman Show a few weeks later and nearly fell over from shock), but she was one of the most striking people I have ever seen--confident, glamorous, and classic, yet with that haunting quality you mentioned. I'm also impressed that she's managed to keep such a low profile--you'll never find her on E! News, which these days is a blue-eyed miracle.
