There were some good moments from the supporting cast but I found Burton's performance to be one of his most wooden... those rambling monologues in close-up were pretty hard to take. It's been a while, but it's not something I'm likely to revisit, so my 'No' must stand...

The psychoanalysis was interesting and the film was based on a shocking actual event, not to mention it was Jenny Agutter's most revealing role (lol). There's nothing else like it; in short, it's unique -- the same reason Voivod will always be a cult band.

I'm just citing its positives, but I can understand why most people don't like it or haven't even heard of it.
