Stories by Heart

I love John Lithgow, and it was awesome to see him in person, but once he started acting out Uncle Fred Flits By in that English accent, I was totally lost. I can understand English accents just fine, usually, but I had no idea what he was saying 90% of the time. Most of the audience was enjoying the show, but I ran into quite a few people who were having trouble following the story as well. I had to leave after the first act because I was too tired to be excited by the fact that John Lithgow was speaking jibberish at me.

It's a shame, too, because I adore Wodehouse. I guess I just prefer reading him than having it recited to me, Lithgow or no Lithgow.

The kid was deliberately and maliciously watching television at him.
