Keener certainly deserves the nomination; she was outstanding as Gertrude in "An American Crime."

I agree. I attended the World Premiere at Sundance in 2007. I really wish it had gotten a theatrical release since the experience was so breathtaking on the big screen. I actually never did watch it again on TV because I just couldn't handle seeing it again. But I'm glad she is getting the recognition. It was partly her performance that made it so traumatic.
