Good to see this Board Evolving.

There was a time I feared coming here to comment. It seemed that every diplomatic post or comment I made was deliberately undermined - possibly because I wasn't ordinarily argumentative enough. I left under a barrage of hatred which I did actually take to heart because I am quite sensitive.

Move forward a year or so and I returned after hearing the news regarding "THE" divorce. I hadn't planned on leaving any comment but was relieved to see that most posts were not actually what I had anticipated - such as the "I told you so" type threads. I think even non-fans were quite contained from what I did read at the time.

Over the festivities, a lot of fans and non-fans have seemingly found some common ground. We've shared personal stories and Brenda has shared her awful story plus we have all been generous enough to wish each other good tidings. This is very encouraging.

I hope we can continue to debate sensibly but all rub along well for life is so short (amply demonstrated in the amount of celebrity deaths over Christmas), and it is also boring if we all agree but it isn't necessarily what we say but how we say it - that is the key 

I hope you all have a very good 2017! Any plans for New Year's Eve? For me it'll be one of my buffets but made just for myself and my beloved lol  Nothing spectacular - some cold meats, vol-au-vents and a cheese board et al!

Oh and I shall raise a glass of port for all of the fine members here!
