WTF? Refugee crisis......Where is she?

Due to the fact that the new POTUS is un-American, and apparently we are all currently living in the twilight zone, there is now this new type of Refugee crisis and discrimination so where is Ms. Jolie?

This is her cause and I know she does not hold a public office and is not a politician or an attorney but why is she being so silent now about this?

I know John Voight supports Trump but she is not him and she should not be silent now, either

not at a time when everyone is speaking up and doing what they can

Who cares if she divorced Brad Pitt? That's no reason to hide and be silent about this

Even Hillary Clinton spoke up and said that 'this is not who we are' and she officially lost the election thanks to the Electoral College but hell she tweeted that

Jolie should speak up

She has a voice

and she has expressed care and concern for Refugees in the past

now maybe more than ever should be no exception

no she shouldn't. she needs to focus on making sure her children are doing okay- which is what she's been doing for months now. Had this situation not happened to her and her family I'm sure we would have seen her on multiple humanitarian missions and heard from her already

She's put everything on hold for her children.

She's a mother first. I'm sure we will eventually hear from her about the refugee ban.

I figured that was it and that the reason why she has been publicly withdrawn and even taken a step back from acting is because he is focused on being a mother to her children which is perfectly acceptable and understandable especially now after a divorce if she was granted primary custody she is probably being careful about putting their needs first

but she shouldn't allow for a divorce or not being in a marriage to shrink or diminish her or her capabilities

she has proven in the past to be engaged in civic duties and responsibility and globally conscious while being a mother

In fact, that would be a primary motivation for her to be involved precisely because as a parent she wants to do everything she can to ensure that this is a proper world for her children and future generations to grow up and thrive in

I still don't completely agree with her silence on this matter and I hope you are right that we will eventually hear from her about the refugee ban

preferably sooner rather than later.

I think Jolie has a rule about staying out of domestic politics. We'll see.

I've never hated someone as much as I loathe our current "president". He's going to get us all killed.

I think you're right, X. She concentrates on children's welfare issues but stays out of politics as such. Seems sensible to me. Humanitarians can't take up every issue in the world. That just causes charity fatigue.
