shareI most recently noticed it while watching a long Youtube video of a little stage show he did with John Cleese. Just the two of them talking and reminiscing. The longer the talk went on the more Eric used the "f" words. I got the impression that he was doing it to try and get some attention. John Cleese is naturally funny and he was getting most of the laughs and I think Eric perhaps unconsciously was trying to get some attention from the audience as well.
It's a sign of insecurity I suppose but Eric needn't be concerned. John might be funnier but Eric has more to say that is useful on practical matters.
