Very talented actor, was he selective or is there more to the story?

The last high profile movie he did was with Ray Liotta but I never saw it. After that movie left theater rotation he disappeared from my pop culture radar. Only when Amadeus appears on television or cable am I reminded of his natural talent and screen presence.

I really liked him in Parenthood as well.
