Anybody met him? Is he nice?

I've watched the guy for years but have no feel for his personality. Is he friendly to fans? Anybody have an encounter with him?

Met him several times at the charity baseball game he does in Oklahoma, it was not held this year. He is very nice and if you don't pester him, he is amazingly patient. Especially at the ballpark, where he often stands for hours signing and having his picture taken with everyone who wants it taken. Things have got hectic since the first time I went in 2007 though. Far more people attend now. So from a PPOV he is very nice and charming.

In Las Vegas, I stood about 10ft away from him for about 2 hours while he was filming for Chicago Hope. It was when his character had his major gambling problem. I was very proud of myself for not drooling.
