Thank you for you kind compliment to my uncle.
Yes he was my dad's estranged brother who passed away in 1994,I barely knew him. I last saw him in 1981 when he was still on Hart to Hart with Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers, I met both of them on the set back then when I was trying to break into Hollywood as a production assistant after having attended Emerson college as a film production major.
Years later I was living in South Florida in the 90's just prior to his death, and persuing an acting career, I ended up as an extra on the movie Blue Sky ( met and had a scene with Tommy lee Jones) and met the director Tony Richardson who cast my uncle in the 60's in the movie The Loved One, who helped my uncle gain exposure again in the states, he was also in Polansky's Cul de Sac, and Sergei Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West with Henry Fonda, among others. I also ended up on two other movies in Florida, the director in Palmetto, with Woody Harelson, who knew my uncle well. And the other was the famous Italian director Enzo Castellari( a favorite of Tarrentino's)who directed spaghetti westerns my uncle acted in. I met Enzon as an extra on the set of a made for tv movie being shot in Miami called Extralarge, with michael phillip thomas from Miami Vice. This was quite an amazing coincidence. Since moving back to Boston in 1998 I've only acted in two independent features, not as connected to the movie scene as i was in Florida.
