Clooney first: I've begun to appreciate his acting, looks, etc. over the years. Hated his ER character, so that was part of my problem. Let's just he's grown on me, even though he'll never be in TG's league.
So - back to Tony, The Man. He's always been mildly attractive in sort of a mysterious kind of way. Loved him as Goren's addicted brother Frank. But if you really want to appreciate his talent pre-Scandal, try to find both episodes of Without A Trace titled "Doppelganger" - and I'm sure I spelled this wrong . This is when I really became intrigued by him. I won't say too much, but they're good twin/evil twin episodes. For me, probably close to his best work.
His role on Scandal is nothing short of amazing. He and Kerry Washington must have been born to play opposite each other. I've started to recognize men with his qualities as "lovely", and Tony Goldwyn is the epitome of manly loveliness. Saw him tonite on Tavis Smiley and was he great? Yessss! This was a brand new episode, so wherever you are, go to pbs.org/tavis and you should be able to find out when it airs - or maybe even watch it on pbs.org. We have about 1/2 dozen pbs stations here in the NYC-Metro area, so Tony's all over the dial for the next several hours.
HOT is an understatement, because his intelligence always shines through more brightly than the rest of him. And ain't that sayin' a whole lot?
