She needs to embrace what she's good at...

What is frustrating about her career is she seems stubborn in not doing what she was loved for. HORROR. It is crazy and makes 0 sense that her last horror role was in 2008 (and it was awful). Ringer was awful (and cheap, lacklustre etc.) and Crazy Ones was weak as hell (Sarah isn't really that funny, she is sassy but she needs balance with more serious moments).

A whole generation relate Sarah to horror movies, she is a cult icon that could easily be staring in bigger better projects. There have been countless rumours that Ryan Murphy offered her a role in one of the earlier seasons of American Horror Story. Why would she not take it?

Now there's plenty of new Horror styled TV shows out there or in the works (Scream Queens, The Strain, Scream, Stranger Things, The Exorcist etc.) Fact is, they would jump at the chance of getting Sarah as she does create a bit of media hype - especially if they poked fun at her previous roles.

I honestly don't know how you have Neve Campbell (who has similar acting talents to SMG) appearing on House of Cards but Sarah can't get a hit.

Her agent is awful. Sarah could really be high level if she tried, but she needs a major revamp. Look at Marc Jacobs campaigns they have Bette Midler, Cher, Winona Ryder, Christina Ricci, Missy Elliot, Sissy Spacek etc. These are all women who may not be relevant anymore but have created a legacy and are pop culture icons in their own right (I am not saying SMG is as big as Cher etc. but you get the picture).

Look at Ryan Murphy's next project 'One Hit Wonder' about three fallen pop stars from the '90s form a super group to re-ignite their careers. It has Paltrow already confirmed (she's a sub par actress and is generally disliked by the public) why isn't SMG going after these kind of gigs?

Because she is stuborn, and she use her fame and fan base for this new aboying bussines which nobody even give a f..ck. i respect that, but that is her private bussines not something her fans wanna.see her.
People are desperate to see her in new movie.or qualitty tv series, but she see herself as baking women and.with roles in stupid comedy or notnquality dramas
She has a talent and i love her so much, but she seriously starting anoying me with lack of desire to work more in something she become famous.

There's a quote on her page, something about After having done Buffy, everything else is the "cherry on top", that she's fulfilled and doesn't feel she has anything to prove - I love this way of thinking. If you think about it, Why would we expect someone in her position to live like somebody who has to go to work every day at a job they hate so they can pay the bills?

I agree, i'd love to see her in more stuff that interests me, but if I was her, I'd pick my projects according to what piqued my interest, not what I thought everybody wanted or expected me to do, which is how I think she picks he's. She doesn't "owe" anybody anything, least of all if it will make her miserable.

Which is another way of saying that perhaps right now acting is just another job for SMG and not something that she is compelled to do because she loves to act. There are other ways to make a living and if she is financially secure enough to invest her money in a business that she prefers to devote her time to instead of auditioning for roles or pursuing roles (it takes work to get work as an actor) than I would agree that she does not owe her fans anything.

I'm not a fan of both, but I think Neve Campbell it is a better actress than Sarah, for some reason I have a feeling that she (Sarah) doesn't know how to act anymore, it was weird to see her in that show "The lucky ones".

She moved on from acting

So it's time her fans do as well

I must say is if she star in a season of Horror Story the buzz from that would be CRAZY. It would spark her career.

It's not about owing her fans anything, its about keeping your legacy intact and being picky with what you want to do.

Fact is, she could levitate herself to a higher standard. I am all for that super cute quote about 'being happy, and everything else being a cherry on top' but two canceled TV shows and one that is currently having trouble being picked up...ain't a cherry.

She clearly hasn't given up on acting, if that was the case she wouldn't of bothered with that Cruel Intentions TV show (that is now not looking bright).

Regarding her food projects, I am not too bothered about this, in fact I think it is great and super cute. No denying that's what she is really passionate about at the moment.

However, there is going to be a time when she wants to head back into acting (she loves the craft and will want to give it another go) and she will have trouble finding anything because she hasn't played to her strengths in recent years.

She doesn't have to actively pursue roles when someone like Ryan Murphy (who has about 100 projects) has expressed his thoughts on working with someone - you pick up the phone and chat. Fact is, people inspired by pop culture - would DIE to have her in something and that's what I was trying to get at.

It's not the horror genre that she's good at--the truth is that SMG is only as good as the script. Half of Ringer's failure is due to Sarah's limited acting range. I used to watch soap operas as a kid, and the best actors could still sell the OTT storylines and terrible writing. Her mistake was trying to become a movie star after BTVS ended. Just because she had a few hit teen films did not mean she had "It" as an adult actress. I've long wished she got away from the Buffy character by guest starring on popular TV shows. Because the fact that Ringer was promoted as "Buffy's Back" and all of y'all keep clamoring for her to make Buffy-adjacent parts is why her acting career is stagnant.
