Lol I'm sorry. It's a famous Latin saying and it means there's no accounting for taste. It's not worth arguing about it it since everyone has a different taste. Maybe there's one in French, too. In German its "Über GEschmack lässt sich nicht streiten". C'est à peu près cela: Il ne faut point disputer des goûts...
I'm saying this because to my mind Charlotte is one of the most beautiful women in the world but I'm not going to hate you or start arguing with you just because you don't think so. If you start not liking her music or her acting BECAUSE you think she's ugly then I would say you're an idiot :)

And to put in my two cents...I just saw Charlotte in both Les Sciences des Rêves (does it irritate anyone else that the English title of that isn't "The Science of Dreams"?) and Nuovomondo. I don't think she's beautiful, but she is certainly riveting. She looks delicate and tough at the same time, which gives her extraordinary versatility, I think.

Des goûts et des couleurs, on ne discute pas. It's what we say in France. I personally believe (to quote Miss Teen South Carolina) that Charlotte is a wonderful and stunning actress. Not ugly AT ALL!
