As good As Blanchett. Oscar:pay attention to Charlotte!

Charlotte coulld make the shor line-up for best supporting actress nominations at the Oscars. Considering the shortage of possible nominees and the fact that she had the most emotionally challenging role in "Im not there" (Charlotte is way overdue for a nomination) and the also it's important to fantasize about what she fabulous Balenciaga gown she would wear at the ceremony if she is in fact nominated... I shoul hope so, i dream of it so.

After seeing I'm Not There, I had the same feelings as you. The only thing is, I think Cate Blanchett gave the film's best performance - so I would like to see them both nominated. If that were to happen, they would probably cancel each other out and someone else would win (maybe Tilda Swinton for Michael Clayton or Catherine Keener for Into the Wild).

I feel the same way about the best supporting actor category. Marcus Carl Franklin and Heath Ledger both deserve nominations but if they were both nominated against each other, they would probably cancel each other out.

I hope you are right about this. As much as I like Blanchett, I found it difficult to get past the whole stunt aspect of the casting. On the other hand, I thought Charlotte gave the most fully rounded and real performance in the film.

I agree that Charlotte was great in it. But I felt that Heath Ledger was equally as great and also deserves a nomination. I also felt that if you can get past the fact that Cate Blanchett is a woman playing a man, her performance was just as great, if not better than the others.
