Her voice is a thing of beauty

I think she has about the most amazing speaking voice I have ever heard. The sound of it is just sublime actually, so delicate and just the right pitch and I can't even explain it. Just listening to her speak is like hearing the most beautiful song. And to American ears, listening to her diction with that British-influenced accent, it is just so affecting for some strange reason.

"The huge sadness of the northern plains rolled down on him..."

She undoubtedly has one of the most gorgeous voices i've ever heard. Where i've seen her in largley french speaking roles i was shocked when she spoke such perfect english so came on here to see where she was from and saw she was born right here in london (duh). Whenever she does voiceovers or stuff it really hits you.

Y'all should check out her one and only "proper" album, 5:55, which came out a couple of years ago - it is entirely beautiful. Her voice is incredible, she doesn't really "sing" as such, it's a kind of halfway whisper/laugh thing, impossible to describe... and that Franco-London accent... Apparently, she doesn't like her voice, and was extremely shy during the recording and had to hide under a sheet while she did her vocals.

Anyway, if you want to listen to the album, go to her official website and choose "the album" at the bottom of the page.

Yes! She has one of the loveliest female voices I've ever heard. Her voice is probably only beaten by Fiona Apple's sister Maude Maggart.
