Are you a fan of him?
The Exorcist and The French Connection are 2 of my favorite movies ever. I also love To Live and Die in LA, I also enjoyed Killer Joe, Bug, The Hunted, and Blue Chips. So overall i'd say i'm a pretty big fan of his work.

shareHe is an excellent director
Of his movies that i have seen i am especially fond of Killer Joe, Bug, The Guardian, The French Connection, The Exorcist and To Live and Die in LA...
That is a great body of work and by no means have i seen all of his yet
Two memories of Friedkin i will always have...
In To Live and Die in LA a main character is bumped off very suddenly...Friedkin filmed this scene in such a manner that its shocking, brutal and completely unexpected
I think i may have even gasped while watching it
At the start of The Exorcist there is a brief scene of nuns walking on a lane...the way Friedkin shot it, the morning sun filters through their veils (im not sure thats the right term) and cloaks...its a beautiful and serene bit of photography and puts us at ease...THEN, nothing but terror!!
Friedkin is brilliant
One of the very best
I have 'The Exorcist' and 'Cruising' on DVD. I don't think I've seen the other movies you mentioned.
shareI hated The Exorcist first time around, then I was persuaded to rewatch and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
shareI've only seen 4 of his movies but yes, all 4 are very good and I'd call myself a fan.
My ranking of his work;
1. The Exorcist
2. Sorcerer
3. The French Connection
4. To Live and Die in L.A.
