Patrick Played a Vampire?
What was the movie/show episode where Patrick played a vampire?
shareHe played a vampire on a somewhat obscure show that I've been desperately waiting for years to be released on Blu-ray, or at least DVD. It aired on the SciFi channel back in 2000, called "The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne" (drawing VERY loosely from some Jules Verne ideas/stories). It was a Canadian/U.K. production, if I recall, in conjunction with the SciFi channel. In one episode Patrick Duffy played a vampire leader who gathered an army of vampires and--I kid you not--invented jet packs to fly in and attack with.
Yup, you read that correctly. An episode featured an army of vampires led by Patrick Duffy, the "king" vampire, flying with jetpacks in a steampunk version of Europe (and elsewhere) in the late 1800s. If you can find it anywhere it's worth checking out if you like wacky shows (similar to modern Doctor Who). It's almost hard to believe this show existed, but I swear it did and I loved every gonzo second of it.
Actually, looks like a couple of YouTube channels have the series, albeit low quality (it's the "Rockets of the Dead" episode 03):

Thank you so much for the links and information. Update: Just finished watching. While I did like that he could not fly and thought it neat for him to develop rocket boosters(I think that is what they are called) and he did not shapeshift, I wish the writers had taken him farther away from the myth and folklore such as making him be alive, if only barely. But I think such portrayals were made in later films. So sad that he had mistaken her to be someone he once loved and never had forgotten.
