this news came during the production of skyfall. there were reports that she was going to be killed off or retiring her character. then there were some rumors going on that she was developing memory loss or whatever. so that's why they decided to finish her character off in the bond films. but here were are, she shows up in this new film, philomena, and not only does she have a starring role, but she got an oscar nomination. so why did they have to kill off her character in skyfall? if she can still act well.

She is not having memory loss. She is losing her vision from macular degeneration. She is having a problem with read scripts. She is getting older and she might want to play M much and do movies she wants to do while she alive.
