Leaving Grey's next season confirmed?

No, it was a quote out of context or something. He gave an interview to Vanity Fair (italian issue) and said he would be done. He´s since declared it as a misunderstanding though. There´s a clip of him discussing it with Letterman couple weeks after those "news" broke (while promoting TF 3), saying he meant his old contract. Most of the original Grey´s cast members only signed for 8 seasons. He´s open to negotiate a renewal of his contract past season 8 though, if the show and especially the network ABC approach him for it. At least he assured Letterman to not worry too much about him leaving. They won´t really know for sure who stays and who leaves until next spring though. Nothing confirmed yet. ;) Shonda Rhimes tweeted a couple weeks ago that she hopes they (Patrick and Ellen) will both stay.
