Should have accepted villian role in next Star Trek (needs exposure)
Last thing I saw him in was Wolfman. I know he did Savages, but he's been under the radar for almost ten years...

shareYou are absolutely right. He meeds to play more commercial roles. He needed the exposure that a "Star Trek" movie would have brought him. He has has not had a film that was a success at the box-office, for quite some time now.
shareHe needs to hurry and do something that will put him back out there far and wide. But, as a long time fan I have always respected that he seems to have chosen his roles carefully. He's definitely underrated. I guess if you're one of those that don't jump in the band wagon and take on any role that is offered to you, one with no substance but a huge pay day, your audience won't see that much of you.
shareHe does really do his "own" thing as far as movie roles are concerned. Although lately he has been working steadily in different projects. He has just completed "Jimmy Picard". EXCLUSIVE: Benicio Del Toro has been set to star in Jimmy Picard, a drama that will be directed by Arnaud Desplechin. The project is adapted from Psychotherapy Of A Plains Indian, by acclaimed ethnologist and psychologist Georges Devereux. It is the true story of a friendship between a Native American and a French psychoanalyst. The film will also star Mathieu Amalric and Gina McKee. The movie is completed and about to be entered into competition at The Cannes Film Festival next month. I would like to see Benicio get a nod for Best Actor too. This is exactly the type of role that he can really sink his teeth into.
He is currently in Panama working on "Paradise Lost" where he portrays drug lord Pablo Escobar.
Let's hope that he continues working steadily. Too great of a talent to be idle.
Well now he'll be in a Marvel movie so hopefully it's a big character.
shareHe's thanos I'm pretty sure.
shareHe had a cameo at the end of Thor 2 and is going to be in Marve's Guardians of the Galaxy. Being in a Marvel film these days is about as high exposure as you can possibly get so I think he's doing just fine.
"We're not supposed to talk about it."
