Such a horrible blow to this movie. Boyd Holbrook is barely known to anyone and has too much of a baby face for the lead.
Benicio was the perfect choice, a logical and smart choice as well.

I'm willing to bet that he wanted too much money, and that the studio is too cheap to pay him, considering the movie probably has a smaller budget than we think.
