Really old one off episode

Hello All!

Just wondering if anyone remembers Alan appearing in an episode of a show which I have always thought was called 'Ghosts', broadcast in the UK about 10-15 years ago (yeh, I know, long shot)? I have since, more or less, found out that the episode was called 'The Chemistry Lesson' but does anyone know what the series was called as a whole? Or, what any of the other episodes where about? I've always watched ghosty things and it's becoming hard at times to make them all fall in to line in order to continue my search :b

Any feedback would be much appreciated, even if you can think of any other themes of episodes that may tally (I seem to remember one with a Canal Barge and two brothers and one based around Astral Projection of a prisoner), just so that I can confirm that I've not gone completely loopy :)

According the the BFI Database the series was called Ghosts.
