has he done interviews about nightcrawler?

why did he not come back and portray the character in X Men 3? nightcrawler is my favorite character from the x-men comics; it was very frustrating that he appeared in only one film..

They never asked him to return, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't recall seeing any interviews with Alan specifically, but I have read elsewhere that Nightcrawler would have had a much smaller part in X3 and they felt like it wouldn't have been worthwhile to spend the money necessary for the make-up and special effects for the character, and it wouldn't have been worth having Alan spend all the required time in the makeup chair for what would have been little more than a glorified cameo.

I was also disappointed that he wasn't in X3 because Nightcrawler is one of my favorite X-men, and Alan did such a great job bringing the character to life.

The X-men movie game that came out around the same time as X3 did give a reason story-wise for him not being there. After completing the levels where you play as him, he says that his faith makes him uncomfortable with the fighting, and he leaves the team to live as a monk.

He never returned as nightcrawler in X3 because of the heavy make up process involved with the character. They tried to tie up his absence within the video game.

He was also asked again to return as nightcrawler in First Class days of future past but yet again he declined.

I think he should just stop being a pri c k about it and just deal with it. I mean how hard is it for him to get paid a few million to sit in a chair and get makeup applied to you.

It's so stupid, he is one of the best characters and everyone who saw X2 thought Cumming was perf.

I don't think he got paid a few million for X-Men...
