I saw the View interview. My heart went out to him when I learned of his hardships as a child.
shareyes, that is one of the reasons I want to read his book so much. I think that the more people come out about crappy childhoods, the more it helps others who have gone through similar circumstances.

True. My Uncle bought the book, (he just got back from seeing Alan in Cabaret in NYC) and he's going to lend it to my Mom when he's done, and if it's not too intense, I'll read it.
