I see that he hosted SNL in 2000, but reading through his credits, I don't see anything I had seen at that point. What had he accomplished at that point that led to being well-known enough to host SNL?
When he came on the Good Wife I knew I had seen him somewhere but I still can't figure it out.

The original host backed out last minute and he was big on broadway plus (most importantly)willing and readily available.
"I'm not a psychopath, I'm a high-functioning sociopath; do your research."
Plus I'm sure it people thought it could help promote The Flintstones prequel that was a month or two away that he had two roles in.
