But if you want me to clear my own name, sure, no problem.
To be considered a human being, you must have sufficient brain activity to be considered conscious of yourself (as opposed to animals who are conscious only of their surroundings). So, no, embryos are not "human beings".
In fact, they are identical to sperm and eggs in their status of consciousness.
As such, killing embryos or sperm cannot be considered murder, in terms of science and law.
But in terms of sentimentality or morality..
Well, I don't consider an embryo more "chosen for life" than any sperm. Just because a sperm happened to collide with an egg doesn't make it more important to me. If aborted, it would just into the statistic of the infinite number of potential babies that could have been born with the collision of any sperm or any egg.
So, the only thing that matters is not whether it is "alive", but whether it can have a good life. And if someone wants to abort you, you probably aren't going to. Aborting one fetus and having a healthy baby 5 years later seems better to me.
