Feel sorry for Jim
He deserves to be in more movies than he has been.

I agree with you, but take into account that he is a devout Christian. That right there probably costs him roles. These days I can't think of anything more unpopular in Hollywood (or a lot of the country for that matter) than being a Christian.
Do you have proof of this?
I don't think it's because he's Christian, if that's the case then why is Candace Cameron Bure famous? She's Christian, she hosts a popular talk show, and has a hit tv show on Netflix. I think Jim doesn't have many roles in Hollywood because he doesn't put himself out there in the movie industry, and he's also nearly 50 which can limit his choices.
Its not because of his religion, if that was the case then Neal McDonough, Candace Cameron Bure, Liam Neeson, etc would struggle to find work in the industry.
I'd say he's more well known in Europe than Candace Cameron (especially if you add Bure).
How is he more well known in Europe? Citation needed.
shareCitation? Not exactly one of those, but I live in a European country and we haven't seen Candace on screen in decades. Her claim to fame doesn't make the ad nauseum rerun circuit like Friends, for example.
But we get a lot of Jim in reruns. Plus she doesn't have a big movie like The Passion of the Christ behind her.
I don't feel sorry for him but he should have been a bigger star. He's a man and can handle it. He makes good money now and millions of people LOVE him.
I would think that JC wouldn't want your pity.
He will be fine.
I am angry and outraged.
shareFrom what I've read he has limitations in what types of characters he chooses to play. For example he refuses act in any movie where his character has sexual relations with a woman, even if he's playing a married man. He's hard up on touching any other woman outside of his wife. I'd say that puts a big red flag up for any director or producer looking to cast him.
It's ironic though because if he's so hard up on the moral implications he sure as shit has no qualms playing characters who kill other human beings.
That is very much like Neil McDonough. Both are Catholic and neither will do love scenes because they reserve all physical intimacy for their wives. I respect it.
In regard to your second point, killing is sometimes a just action. It depends on the circumstances. And if he's playing a villain then his actions are portrayed as villainous, and obviously he's not actually killing anybody. If he kisses a woman who's not his wife though, he's really kissing her. No way to simulate that.
Acting is a highly competitive field, and any actor who puts limits on what they're willing to do is going to lose work over it. If an actress won't do nude scenes or an actor won't take steroids to bulk up quickly for a role that calls for big muscles, they're going to lose roles to those that are willing, and god forbid you should refuse to go out and do media blitzes to publicize films, and that's just how highly competitive fields work. Those who can and will do the most rise the highest.
We all make our choices and hopefully we accept the consequences with good grace, and the fact is, if he won't even kiss a woman he's going to give up a crack at the vast majority of roles. No romances for him, no adventures where the hero gets the girl, no playing happily married men or dads, no pervert villains, he can't even play detectives or doctors if the character goes home to his wife or GF. About all ghosts left is supporting characters who a red nt given personsl lives and soldiers in wartine... provided th jose soldiers font pick up girls when on leave.
