Major Cassius Starbuckle
His portrayal of the great windbag in "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" was one great tongue in cheek role. It is how I will always remember this fine actor.
he was also wonderful in "The Last Hurrah".
He had a tendency to ham that was perfect for the part.
