On the first anniversary of his death, Carradine's widow, Annie, filed a lawsuit for wrongful death against the company that produced the film Carradine was working on at the time of his death. The lawsuit claimed that the company failed to provide assistance to the actor that had been agreed upon in his contract.

What assistance?

Maybe they knew he was a walking disaster and when left to his own devices, would self harm in some way, and therefore required a babysitter. You wouldn't leave a child unsupervised, and some adults also need supervision.
