I only know he desperately wanted to be in it; that they offered him a role through his manager - who wasn't all that happy about the role, but the producers said that was the only substantial role they had that still wasn't cast at that point.
I guess, due to the WGA strike the work on the episodes he could have been in was pushed indefinitely, but I was hoping on some news whether the deal came through and Billy accepted the role.
I haven't heard/read anything on this since I first heard about it. I think the WGA strike definitely had an impact on this situation. I hadn't heard about the part you're referring to, but if his manager didn't feel it was worth it and/or if Billy really wanted to do it, I would think Billy may win out on that. Well, I hope we hear the end result of this at some point.
sharei think i heard (can't remember where) that he's going to be on either the 'galactica" spin-off 'caprica', or one of the proposed 'galactica' t.v. movies. i think the most likely one would be 'caprica'.
Hopefully, he won't be involved in anything related to the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. He is way too cool of an actor to be involved with a piece of s**t like that.
