The man was practically a National treasure. He deserves some attention.

He was one of those actors who was equally good whether serious or comedy. Loved him in Roots, loved him in Airplane. In fact loved him in anything.

Favorite performance: Commander Cain in Battlestar Galactica's "The Living Legend".

I liked him in his older roles on TV. My favourites include:-

Crime Club (1973) with another of my favourites - Victor Buono
Dress Gray (1986)

Mike Nelson was my hero when I was a kid in the late '50s and early '60s watching "Sea Hunt". Bridges was great playing heroes, or in comedy, or as psycho villains in film noir.
