Saw her at Paramount Studios
Last year, I took a vacation with my nephew to Hollywood. One of the things we did was tour Paramount Studios. They were preparing to film an episode for "Rizzoli & Isles" while I was there (the exterior for the police station is also the high school on "Everybody Hates Chris" among other things...)
Anyway, we were around Stage 19 or 20 (can't remember) and the tour guide was talking and all of the sudden, the stage door entrance (the one that says 'No entry unless authorized' or something like that) opens up and out steps this woman. I turned my attention toward her. I looked right at her and she looked at me. At the time, I didn't recognize her, but she had several passes either clipped on her shirt or around her neck. She had access to wherever she wanted to go at Paramount Studios. Well, I didn't want to stare, but I knew she was someone famous; however, I couldn't figure out who she was in those few seconds (I would say I only looked at her for about 2 seconds). So I turned my attention back toward the tour guide. Then a few more seconds later, I looked back and saw she was getting into a golf buggy and had one hand over her face, like she was trying to hide her face from being recognized. I did not point my camera at her, but I believe someone else in the group did.
Later I was trying to figure out who she was and while doing research for my vacation video, I ran across a recent pic of Lorraine and realized that is who came out the door that day. Clearly, she did not want to be bothered, but I wish it would have been a more conducive atmosphere for conversing with her. But I understand why she didn't want to talk.
Anyway, I didn't really get to "meet her" per say, but I did get to see her up close.
