Interviews extremely well

This is a bit of an aside from actual filmmaking talent, but I notice that some of the best filmmakers are often quite awkward and come across in a manner other than cinematic geniuses. Tarantino carries far too big an ego to be likeable and PTA is just an oddity who refuses to discuss themes in movies and David O'Russell really doesn't come across as an intelligent filmmaker, but all of Boyle's interviews really impress me with his knowledge and wit of cinema. Maybe that's why I hold Danny Boyle in a bit higher of a regard than I should. I'm pretty confident that Tarantino and PTA have him beat in filmography, but Boyle seems to be very eloquent, humble and intelligent. Thoughts?

I agree. I watched an interview with him last year I think and he was on about the 'Pixarisation' of certain films. He's just a genius.
