He shouldn't be allowed 10,000 miles neare a film set.

That's how bad he is. Every other hack these days is making a career, but this guy is amongst the absolute worst. He's responsible for possibly the worst film ever in Very Bad Things...what a shame to the industry so many talented people are without jobs and this guy finds work...

'Very Bad Things' is the worst movie ever?

Okay...And how many movies have you seen in your life? Five?

Seriously, when it comes to acting - Peter Berg is no Kevin Spacey or Al Pacino, nor is he Martin Scorsese or Michael Mann when it comes to directing, but to say he has no talent is a bit of an overstatement.

I completely agree with Ante. I don't think he's "brilliant" or anything but he's definitely not the worst director or actor out there. The guy has a lot of range or genre's under his belt. Corky Ramano, Collateral, Smokin' Aces, I mean none of which are the most amazing things I've ever seen but nothing poor by any means. As far as him directing, Friday Night Lights was a good small studio picture, The Rundown was kind of a turd but its...watchable? And Hancock. Hancock wasn't Will Smith's best show he's done but the damn thing made a *beep* of money.

I'm sorry to hear how *beep* he is because I don't think he's going anywhere for quite a while. Especially since he has 9 films slated to start.

Oh look a film school graduate who is having a hard time breaking into the industry, ragging on someone who had the good fortune to work with Michael Mann.

Instead of bitching about someone who made it, go out and create something yourself if you're one of the "many talented people" out there.

I agree, not an extremely talented actor but a decent and good director. You forgot to mention The Kingdom which has originally slated for an April release date but was pushed back to the fall because of such overwhelming and positive reactions during the test screens.

I got to say, this is funny to read. Years ago, a friend had me sit down and watch "Very Bad Things". I hated it so much. Really. Then about a year later, I went on a ski tri with a group and they played that movie on the bus ride to NM. KNowing what was going to happen to these guys, and knowing how bad they really were, I laughed my ass off. 2nd time is the charm with that movie. Watch it again.

peter berg's talented and unique. my opinion. your opinion is just that as well, your opinion. but you're obviously in no position to call the guy a hack, which is not an opinion.

LOL "oh look a film school graduate..." :)

by the way, i LOVE Very Bad Things and watched it twice. in a few years i'll watch it again. it's wickedly funny and a pleasure to see this fine cast act and react. i think the story is outrageously hilarious and the directing fantastic. i would be honored to work with mr. berg. i don't understand why some people hate the movie so passionately.

Please don't list "Corky Romano" as one of this guy's accomplishments.
