Needs a Comeback
Perhaps it is hard to grasp that at one time Robby Benson was a pretty big deal. He wasn't as popular as Travolta, but everyone I knew liked him. The 1970s was a time when he was offered a lot of good roles. He also did okay in the 1980s, but the 1990s didn't give him the leading man material that matched his special way of acting. I somehow think that didn't' bother him. I think certain critics just didn't like his subdued way of saying his dialogue, and with that, he wasn't offered good roles. I mean, he did a lot of stuff. Just look at his IMDB profile; it just seems it all changed by the 1990s, and he became something of a figure of nostalgia and stunt casting.
