Why is she more deserving than these other multiple nominees?

These women in my opinion are just as deserving and even more deserving! Glenn Close in my opinion should have won at least twice! She was majorly robbed for not winning for Fatal Attraction and Dangerous Liaisons! The same as Julianne Moore who has gotten overlooked for nominations as well as wins! When you look at the body of work with these ladies they are all are just as deserving and more so as Bening! Don’t get me wrong, I think Bening deserves and Oscar as well but she isn’t special! I think because she is married to a film legend people assume she is one to but she really isn’t! She really didn’t get noticed until Grifters and her own husband Warren Beatty has had 4 nominations for acting and 0 wins himself!

The truth is it isn’t the actors who are competing against each other it is the roles that they play. Portman’s role in Black Swan is way meatier and Oscar battier than anything this year and that is why she will win. Could an actress do what Portman did? Yes, but I don’t think many actors could do what Bening did in The Kids are Alright, but nobody cares about that movie as much as Portman’s Black Swan.

I am not saying she should win this year or ever, but the overdue thing is just not accurate.
