His rugged masculinity is exceptionally attractive to those of us girls who like real men, not pretty boys or gym-sculpted guys. His deep voice adds a lot to his manliness also. All little 9 year old princesses dream of a youthful prince charming with a clean shave, kind smile, thin waist and muscles like those of a greek sculpture. Then the little princesses grow up. Some of the lucky ones turn into beautiful swans, others turn into thick, mean looking, spotted and wrinkled skinned, badly dressed, masculine women. Those women would still like prince charming but they soon realized that beautiful men simply would not be a good fit into their family portrait. These women would look older and uglier than their man. No woman wants that, she wants to be a real woman, more beautiful than her man, thinner than her man, younger looking. So they invented something in their minds, that they can fit into their family portrait. That thing is called rugged masculinity. You will never see it in magazines or in greek sculptures, but magazines don't matter in the real world where real women like rugged masculine real men... right? :)
