How is this anti-semitic a-hole still getting work?

Please enlighten me and yes Spain is notorious for its anti-semitism.

Anti-semitism = hating jews
Javier bardem does not hate jews. He opposed their actions in Gaza together with 90% of the world. The world is not anti-semitic. The world opposes brutal actions committed by Israel. If they want to fight a war against Hamas, they can go on, but bombing civilians in a place where people do not have where to go, is genocide. Idiots like yourself accuse people of anti-semitism when they do not agree with jews.

Viola! Talk against brutal massacre and you are anti-semetic?

reply

Yes, you can criticize Israel's actions without being anti-semitic, but both Bardem and his wife, Penélope Cruz, ARE anti-semitic and also anti-american. They just do it because in Spain it is popular to do so.

He doesn't hate Jews. He hates the policies in the far right wing government of Israel. I hate the far right wing of the US government. That doesn't mean I hate US citizens.

I'm spanish and I'm not anti-semitic. Please, don't insult me without reason.

In Spain Bardem is considered a moron (on the contrary to Antonio Banderas for example, who is really admired here). You have only heard a 10% of all the stupid things Javier Bardem uses to say in Spain about politics. His family is a well known communist family. In the public funeral of his father, aired on TV (he was a popular film director here), they played The Internationale.

And no, it's not "cool" in Spain to be anti-semitic. That's a stupid racist remark about Spain and it's just not true. The admired here Esther Koplowitz will laugh out loud about your remark.

For Bardem, Pacino, an American acting Legend is God. I don't think he hates Americans as much as you think, lol.

“I saw God today,” Javier Bardem said Wednesday night, having a smoke outside the party for “Biutiful,” the Alejandro González Iñárritu movie in which he stars. “I saw God and God talked to me, and I’m actually amazed by his grace.” God, for Mr. Bardem, is Al Pacino, who made a surprise visit to the celeb-stocked party, after his performance in “The Merchant of Venice” on Broadway. Mr. Pacino, his hair in a messy little ponytail, chatted with Mr. Bardem, who eagerly introduced him to Penélope Cruz, his very pregnant wife. Mr. Pacino promptly touched her belly. (“He touched the baby!” Mr. Bardem gushed later.) They all talked and laughed in a tight circle for a few moments.

“What an amazing tale, of a man, that actor, after doing a three-hour play, of Shakespeare, comes here, to say hello, about a movie that he couldn’t see, because he was working,” Mr. Bardem said afterward, marveling. “Just to say hello, show the support, come back. He is the best!”

“I’m — I’m sorry, I’m so nervous — he came out of the blue, like hi, how are you?” Mr. Bardem said, still fixated on you-know-who. “It’s more than you can imagine! What’s your person, what’s your person that you admire so much, for all the things that he or she gave to you indirectly by their work or their inspiration?”

There’s a long list, but we’ve been fortunate to meet most of them, we said.

“How weird is that? Because I met some of them, how weird is it that sometimes” — he mimed being put off — “this is not the case. This was the opposite! It puts more oil to the fire!”

“I can be talking about Pacino for days,” he added, then got back to business.

I am also not anti-semitic, and also from Spain. I'm not being racist or a liar. I'm just stating a fact.

"According to a September 2008 study published by the Pew Research Center of Washington DC, nearly half of all Spaniards have negative views of Jews, a statistic that marks Spain as one of the most antisemitic countries in Europe. According to Pew, 46% of Spaniards held negative opinions of Jews, more than double the 21% of Spaniards with such views in 2005. Spain was also the only country in Europe where negative views of Jews outweighed positive views; only 37% of Spaniards thought favorably about Jews".
