Gushes Over Brad Pitt

Javier Bardem thinks a major Hollywood star is a 'beauty with an amazing body' - but it's Brad Pitt, not his wife Penelope Cruz.

The 41-year-old Spaniard gushes about Pitt in an interview with US Elle, saying he even felt like he could 'fall in love' with the father-of-six.

Bardem - who secretly wed Cruz earlier this month - makes his comments after denying that male and female co-stars frequently fall in love.

The Eat, Pray, Love actor says: "No, no. I'm not Brad Pitt.

"I had the great opportunity to meet Brad a couple of times...what a beauty. He is beautiful and his physicality is so amazing to see.

"But the beauty really comes from different places - the way he talks, the way he's interested in what you're saying.

"And that body is like - wow. It's amazing, no? He really made me feel very, like...I don't know, like, I could fall in love with him!

"Like a teenage girl getting crazy and going [screams] like that.

"I met him only twice but I would say it's a good self. And that is when the beauty comes voom!"

Despite appearing in the 2008 movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona with Cruz, 36, Bardem denies that on-the-set romance between co-stars is a common occurrence.

The Oscar winner says: "That thing that they call the chemistry, it's true.

"But it's not that true. I've worked with actors and actresses and I've done scenes with a lot of love in those and people believe it, and that person and I...we didn't go along very well.

"But that's what they pay you for: 'Act, *beep* act'.

But Julia Roberts - who plays his love interest in the upcoming movie Eat, Pray, Love - says that her female friends all swoon when they see Bardem.

"When I got sent the trailer for the film, I had, like, three or four girlfriends over at my house," the actress tells Elle.

"And I put the thing in, and as soon as Javier came on, they were all like: 'Oh!' The collective swoon.

"I just started giggling. He's a very charismatic guy, but that's not how I think of him in my heart now. "He's kind of like my bud."

I definitely prefer Bardem over Pitt too.

Who would have thought he'd have a man-crush on Brad.

Pitt is too much of a "pretty boy" while Bardem just oozes maleness. Yep, gotta take Bardem over Pitt without a second thought.

You summed up exactly what I was going to say. Brad is nice to look at, but he leaves me cold. There's nothing unique or exciting about him. Javier, on the other hand, has substance as well as good looks.

I'd take Javier over Brad, but I adore Pitt as well. I appreciate him for the pretty face that he is, but I definitely prefer the less pretty ones. I like manly men.
