I watched this show, and thought he was the least of all the actors; no energy,passion...but not in an 'understated', but as if he was walking though it
I think the Pre-Mullet Days were better for him. Maybe the Mullet stole his charisma.
Ricky Dean was VERY handsome in his younger days; especially in the early episodes of MacGyver.
But, yes, to answer your point, he is as wooden as Orlando Bloom. Doesn't make either of them less handsome or fun to watch leaping about in their younger days, but still very wooden.
