Am I the only one who finds it ironic that first we see her hunted by cat people shapeshifters in Sleepwalkers and now she shapeshifts into a cat on Witches of East End?

She also played a shapeshifter on both the 90s Fantasy Island and in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
I remember when someone was listing the strikes against Fantasy Island, he asked: "Why would you cast Madchen Amick and then have her turn into other things so much we almost never see her?" I can see his point, but good storytelling can sometimes be about withholding what people want (for a while).
