Sarah Plain and Tall

I wish he and Glenn Close would make another Sarah movie. He is wonderful in all 3 of them. I know there are no more books but that has never stopped Hollywood. lol

Actually Patricia MacLachlan wrote two more books ("More Perfect Than the Moon" in which Sarah & Jacob have a son named John Jacob - Jack for short - and "Grandfather's Dance" in which Anna & Justin get married), but Glenn Close felt that a trilogy was the best way to go, and apparently everyone agreed.

I, too, would've loved them to continue while Jack Palance was still alive and the casts' ages (particularly the "kids") lined up with their characters, but according to this article (bottom of the page at link below) on Gaby's wonderful CW tribute site, the bugs were so bad in Kansas that Chris said he'd only do a fourth film "if they discover oil and move to Paris." That guy, gotta love 'im!

Here's the link to Gaby's page. If you love CW, be sure to check the sitemap (link at very bottom)...you'll be there a while! http://www.tigriffith.com/winters_end.htm

I wish these films would be released on bluray. I'd probably settle for DVD too, we only have vhs quality.
