Recently I started watching Prison Break for the first time. I loved her character so I was sad to see her go. Does anyone know why she left? Was she fired or did she got a better offer?

I believe Robin wanted to move on. Originally, it was Sarah Wayne Callies character that was supposed to die but they change that up.
shareRobin gave an interview (sorry I don't have a link) where she clearly stated that she left the show because she became fed up with how badly her character was written and made to do the most idiotic things (phoning the police in her last episode being a prime example).

That's rich coming from her. I'm through the show's first season, and she's a cringe-worthy, distractingly bad actress - the wheezing, asthmatic voice; the perky eyebrows and semi-closed/trying-to-be-sexy eyes all the time; the wooden, deadpan emoting. It's like watching some high school student in an amateur C-grade horror film.
Very rarely it happens that a decently written show makes me go "aww that just ruined it", and even rarely so that it's because of acting, but she's really that horrible.
