WTF?!

i know! i was like huh?! they even played the theme to Ghost when Demi Moore came on stage, yet hes not shown in the clips... >_<

I noticed that too, I told my son "they didn't mention Patrick Swayze" and he said maybe he was the first one and we missed it?????"
Does anyone know if they started showing it right away or did we miss a person or two? (Sometimes the camera is on someone else when something is going on, on stage.)

first person i saw when the clips started was some actress from black & white films. so i dunno how i could have missed him, but yea he wasnt in any of what i saw.

he was the very first person they showed. there was no close up on him though.

I just looked at Youtube and there are Academy Award in Memoriums from previous years so maybe someone will post the 2010 one.

They didn't forget him. He was the first person they showed, except that when his picture came on the camera was still on James Taylor. In the wide shot behind Taylor you can see Patrick Swayze's picture. By the time they cut from that wide shot to the actual video they already passed Swayze. You just missed him.

Yeah, John Hughes got a huge, seperate segment to himself and everyone else who died this year got thrown into a VERY brief slideshow. The SAG awards had a much longer list and gave everyone equal time.
