Streisand in talks to play Marcia in newest Brady Bunch movie...

"People tell me all the time I look 11," asserted the 74 year-old songstress -- whose biggest hits include the passionate love-duet "I Finally Found Someone", recorded with Bryan "Young Enough to be Barbra Streisand's Son" Adams, as well as that song from one of her recent albums where that weird thing happened during her vocals where phlegm partially obstructed her larynx during a note, but they didn't bother to edit it out.

"I was downstairs in my private shopping mall among my myriad of exquisite, dusty-rose-colored-dress-wearing dolls -- not a single one of which is a hot water bottle -- when I managed to catch a glimpse of myself in this mirror I was staring into for 2+ hours, and I heard myself in my head say, 'You could easily play a Season 1 Marcia Brady'."

"And you know what?", Barbra continued, "She was right."

"I mean, I certainly am currently wearing the hairstyle for it," a stick-straight, parted-down-the-middle-like-it's-1975-and-she-just-made-the-appointment-for-the-following-day-to-get-that-hideous-afro coiffed Streisand persisted as we packed up our equipment and were barely paying attention anymore, "I mean, no one can argue against that, right? Seriously, no one can argue against this! STOP ARGUING WITH ME!!!"

Room for one more, honey.

Lol! Very funny.

That said, I think Streisand's current hairstyle looks great on her, and
also more youthful. As for the phlegm thing, I noticed it in the closing
notes from one of the "Love is the Answer" tracks. Could you mean that
album? Can't recall the song.

Yes, the "Gypsy" thing is very controversial. You should join the heated
discussion on the two other threads, LZboyfriend....or are you two
busy throwing up?

Rumor has it that BS will remake The Subject Was Noses episode just to receive a long-awaited, free nose job. Otherwise, she would have had to pay for the massive operation out-of-pocket which would have meant sending her hubbie out to appear in a few more Midas Muffler commercials,

If "Love is the Answer" is that Diana Krall-produced album, then I think it was on that one. And isn't it a coincidence that I can't recall the song, either? A testament to how forgettable the material is...

And the "Gypsy" thing is just insane. As is Streisand these days. Not the obvious "howling at the moon" kind of crazy; just the "my plastic surgery makes my 74 year-old self think I can successfully play a menstruating woman" kind of crazy.

Ugh.

Seriously, I've never heard that in any other Streisand recording - even
live - before or since. And with her being the perfectionist she is,
it's a wonder she let it pass. Certainly it wouldn't have been
difficult to dub over that note. It's brief, but, frankly, rather
gross to listen to.

Wait, it gets worse. Apparently Liza, eager for another comeback, rushed
out and bleached her hair blonde, parted it in the middle, put on
blonde extensions, shoved fake braces over her teeth, and even painted
little freckles on her face for HER chance at landing "Marcia."
After all that effort, however, she was told the role is indeed going
to Streisand. Liza just stood there and moaned, "Barbra, Barbra BARBRA!"

Jim Brolin backed up his wife's casting, by stating on Ellen, "It's just
GOT to happen." Travolta, also a guest, demanded that an assistant
comb his hair and bring it to him at once.

James Brolin wanted to play Clark Gable, and the young producer responded, "Who?"
