...And because his birthday fell on a weekday, he's going to take the
day off work. :)

He did do an interesting short in 2001, in which he played a gay son of two
very famous parents. Elliot Gould had a bit as his father. I saw it at
a screening of gay shorts. It was very intriguing, but I suspect, very
personal, given the autobiographical aspect. When interviewed, he stated
Streisand went to a screening, but didn't have much to say.

Streisand has stated at least once that she wished he was more ambitious, but
he didn't have to fight to "escape" the way she did.

I think he sings pleasantly, but hardly remarkably.

For his own reasons, he keeps a low profile. And if this works for him, more
power to him.

Other than his desire to play the son(Bernard) in "The Prince Of Tides" has he ever had a drive to do anything.

He didn't have a 'desire' to play Bernard, actually.

Streisand had already chosen actor Chris O'Donnell for the role, but he didn't have the right screen presence in the early shots. Author Pat Conroy suggested her own son, whom he met during pre-production meetings at Streisand's home, as he was more of what Conroy had imagined in his book.

I don't care for that syrupy/soapy film, but there's no question that Jason was
a far better choice than the bland, charisma-challenged O'Donnell (who doesn't
even look remotely Jewish).
