They should have gone with Roddenberry's original idea. But the female producer vetoed the idea. Why?

Roddenberry wanted Troi with four breasts. Oh, he also wanted her to be an oversexed hermaphrodite. Not feeling Roddenberry on this, writer and producer Dorothea DC Fontana had to convince Roddenberry to dump the idea.

Then her species should give birth to multiple children yet she was an only child.

Number of breasts related to multiple births - not sexuality. Gene forgot what breasts are for.

Even a species which gives birth to litters of offspring can sometimes have one child. A cat has multiple nipples on its underside.

How did you remember Troi was an only child? You must be a real Trekkie!

Troi had an older sister who died young, but that was a single birth, too.

Cats have litters of 3-5 kittens.
Any sci-fi were women have 3+ breasts or impossibly huge boobs is absolute shit for teen boys. A few TOS episodes included!

Yeah, they should have gone with Roddenberry's original idea. I doubt the tv censors would have allowed it though.
