my LEAST favorite character....

i can't stand Troi. I'm sure Sirtis is a nice person and it's not her fault her character sucks, but good lord...I've been a fan of the show since I was seven years old, and as a kid I didn't have such a tremendous distate for her...but watching her in the show now totally ruins it for me. Why does the counselor need to be on the bridge anyway? Only to make obvious statements when dealing with alien species...One would think that competent officers like Picard and Riker could make such inferences on their own...And what's with her refusal to wear a Starfleet uniform for the first six seasons? I'm probably misquoting, but I love Q's line in "All Good Things..." when he says something to the effect of "and Troi, constantly spouting meaningless psycho-babble..."

Troi is an excellent character and Sirtis does a good job. Ok, she's not the greatest actress in Star Trek but she is good. The relationship between Troi and Riker was good from episode 1 and she has always been pleasant to watch. But comparing her with the dreadful characters (and actors) on Enterprise, and you see the difference. I only wish her son hadn't "died/left" in "The Child". It would have made her character even better. And she is on the bridge to use her telapathic abilities and thus sensing if the people whom Picard deals with are lying or holding something back. The last time I knew nobody on the Enterprise bridge (although all capable officers) are capable of that.

lol... "great tits"... heheh... have you seen her nude shots? She has no tits. In an interview she admitted that her "great tits" in the show were part padding, part costuming. I remember the interview having her say that friends would go up to her after a shoot and say "Hey, where'd they go?!?"

i met marina at a convention a few weeks back, and she was so cool, and looks really good, still got nice tits...

i loved troi. and dark page is the one of my fav tng episodes.. she was very good in it. also i think she's really beautiful.

Troi was always my favourite Star Trek character and I think Marina Sirtis is a wonderful actress.

Troi and Dr Chrusher were getting better in the last seasons of ST The next generation, both were getting more beautiful and had more important things to dolike commanding the Enterprise and going to a planet with the captain. The women of the original series were always secondary characters.
